Main research expertise in the areas of physiology & modelling, telemedicine, telehomecare, medical decision support systems based on Bayesian networks, integration of decision support into electronic patient records, diabetes technology
Supervision of PhD students (currently 6)
Related research interests include neural networks, image analysis, and decision support systems in general

---Teaching

One of the main contributors to setting up the master education in Health Informatics (in Danish)
Lecturing and supervision of students on bachelor and master level in different areas related to medical informatics and metabolic modelling
Administrative duties include the coordination of the education in Health Informatics (in Danish) and coordination of the clinical semesters of the new 5 year master education in Biomedical Engineering and Informatics (in Danish)
